Events, Seminars, & Networking

The Sydney Internship Program events are one of the most popular features of our program. The events are planned to give you full exposure to your new city, while combining travel, with many of the most popular attractions in the city. Although your summer will be filled with gaining valuable work experience, it is very important that you gain the full experience of living in Sydney, Australia, and our events will do just that. The following are just a few examples of activities from past programs, and the full roster of summer 2010 activities will be announced later in the year.

  Spend a summer with the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge- two of Australia's most popular landmarks!

  Sydney's ocean beaches include the internationally renowned Bondi, Coogee and Manly, and the harbour beach Balmoral

  Start your summer with a Dreamer board and be amazed at what you've experienced and accomplished by the end of the summer!

  Make sure to try the distinctly Australian ANZAC sweet biscuit and meringue-based dessert, pavlova!

  During your summer check out Crown Street in Surry Hills for great cafes and a good mix of upmarket restaurants

  While in Sydney make sure to take the Bondi-Coogee coastal walk!

  You'll be in Australia for their winter, but luckily they have a warm climate all year round, so apart from the occasional rain, you'll still have temperatures in the 60s-80s!

Welcome to the land down under! To kick off our weekend events lineup, we will explore Sydney on a tour of the city! This tour will familiarize you with the city and is guaranteed to provide some great photo opportunities. Some famous sights that will be highlighted on this tour include the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach, Circular Quay and The Rocks. Along the tour, our group will have lunch provided at one of the well-known local restaurants in Sydney. If you want to be introduced to the sights and tastes of Sydney, you will not want to miss this tour!

Seminars & Networking

The Sydney Speaker Series occurs once per week after work where industry professionals share their success stories and outline the essential aspects of preparing for life after college. The Speaker Series is a valuable aspect of the Internship Program, as it allows you to gain insight from industry professionals. Additionally, you will spend time building your professional network, as you will have time to talk with each at the end of their speech.

The purpose of the series is to give you a broader perspective, while inspiring you to think about what career you wish to pursue. Below is a snapshot of a few of the guest speakers we have hosted at previous programs.
